Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Public Safety Officer II - Armed at Illinois Masonic Medical Center in Chicago’s Northside. This full-time, 3rd shift role involves 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM rotation, with potential schedule changes to 2x12 and 2x8. Responsibilities include security patrols, incident reporting, and emergency response.

Required are a High School Diploma or GED and 4 years of security/public safety experience or equivalent education. Certifications in armed security and FOID/CCW beneficial.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required/preferred.
• 4 years of security/public safety experience or 30 college credits plus 3 years in security/safety.
• Illinois armed certification and firearm handling knowledge beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional security services to patients, visitors, and staff.
• Perform interior/exterior patrols, inspect for hazards, control traffic, and monitor on-site conduct.
• Respond to emergencies, de-escalate conflicts, and document incidents accurately.
