Job summary

Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center in Chicago's Northside is hiring a Public Safety Officer II - Armed for the 11 pm–7:30 am shift. This full-time role requires 40 hours per week and a HS diploma or GED, with licensure and weapon credentials as applicable.

You will patrol, respond to emergencies, de-escalate threats, and coordinate with police while upholding safety, professionalism, and compassionate service within a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Must meet State requirements and obtain Firearm Control Card (FCC) within 90 days of hire.
• Ability to defend self and others and de-escalate tense situations.
• Must pass background, drug screen, and medical/psychological checks post-offer.

Responsibilities

• Patrol interior/exterior areas, enforce safety policies, and assist with directions.
• Respond to emergencies, conflicts, and service calls; de-escalate when possible.
• Maintain records, training logs, and coordinate with law enforcement as needed.
