Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Public Safety Officer I - Armed at Condell Medical Center, Libertyville, IL. This full-time role covers 2nd/3rd shift with hybrid expectations, including two 8-hour shifts (2200–0600 or 1400–2200) and two 12-hour shifts (1800–0600).

You will patrol, respond to incidents, de-escalate threats, and cooperate with law enforcement while upholding safety policies and training. A high school diploma and CHSO or armed-credential readiness are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of security/public safety experience preferred.
• Certified in Conducted Energy Weapon use within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide security services with professionalism and customer service.
• Maintain uniform and equipment in good repair.
• Perform interior and exterior patrols to ensure safety and security.
• respond to emergencies and incidents; de-escalate when possible.
• Collaborate with law enforcement and first responders as needed.
• Complete timely incident reports and maintain records.
