Advocate Health is seeking a Public Safety Officer I - Armed at the South Suburban Hospital in Hazel Crest, IL. This full-time role operates on 3rd shift (40 hours weekly) and includes a comprehensive benefits package.

You will patrol, respond to emergencies, de-escalate incidents, and document activities while coordinating with local law enforcement as needed. A CHSO or state equivalents are required, with armed licensing where applicable.

Qualificações

• Requires CHSO certification or comparable healthcare security credential where applicable.
• Experience in healthcare or public safety environments preferred.
• Must be able to function in a fast-paced security role and respond to emergencies.

Responsabilidades

• Provides security services with a customer-service approach and professionalism.
• Performs interior and exterior patrols to identify vulnerabilities and ensure safety.
• Responds to threats or emergencies and assists patients, visitors, and staff as needed.
• Engages in de-escalation and uses force only when necessary in accordance with policy.
• Investigates incidents and completes timely, accurate reports for leadership.
• Coordinates with law enforcement and first responders as required.
