Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Security Officer Healthcare Certification within two years of appointment.
• NIMS Compliance Certification.
• FOID/CCW as required by state law.
• Background check, drug screen, pre-placement physical and ongoing assessments.

Responsibilities

• Provides security services with professionalism and customer service orientation, following policies and training.
• Performs interior and exterior patrols to identify hazards, inspect life safety measures, and manage patient valuables and contraband.
• Controls traffic, assists with directions, and provides information to patients, visitors, and staff.
• Responds to emergencies, de-escalates when needed, and utilizes force only as necessary.
• Liaises with federal, state, and local law enforcement and first responders; completes timely incident reports.
• Maintains training standards in radio communications, de-escalation, and use of protective equipment.
