Job summary

Walden Security is seeking Protective Service Officers (PSOs) to provide armed security and access control in the Washington, DC metro area. PSOs are deputized under the U.S. Marshals Service Special Deputation Program for duties on contract premises.

Responsibilities include screening visitors and vehicles, patrolling, responding to emergencies, and maintaining incident logs. Candidates must be U.S. citizens, be 21+, and meet rigorous training and firearms qualifications.

Qualifications

• Proficient in written incident reporting (English).
• Must meet physical fitness, vision, hearing, and medical standards.

Responsibilities

• Control access to facilities by screening visitors, personnel, and vehicles.
• Conduct patrols and maintain visible security presence.
• Respond to alarms, emergencies, and detain individuals until law enforcement arrives.
• Monitor activity and maintain accurate logbooks, reports, and documentation.
• Enforce rules, protect federal employees and property, assist in evacuation or lockdown procedures.
• Administer first aid, AED, CPR, and NARCAN when appropriate.
• Follow weapons handling, post orders, and use of force guidelines.
