Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring an Armed Federal Protective Services Security Officer in Washington, D.C. The role provides armed protection for a high-profile customer, including patrolling, access control, CCTV and incident reporting, with a focus on safety and professionalism.

Full-time positions require three years of recent armed military, law enforcement, or armed security experience. Site pay starts at $33/hr, with paid training at $25/hr. FPS suitability must be obtained within 60 days.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Current driver's license if driving a company or customer owned vehicle
• Licensing requirements per state/local laws and regulations
• CPR/AED and First Aid certification
• Federal and state firearms qualifications
• OC, Baton and handcuffing certification
• Defensive and de-escalation tactics certification
• Two years armed security experience or US military service or armed civilian law enforcement

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality security services to protect people and property
• Build and maintain relationships with client employees and guests
• Report safety concerns, security breaches, and unusual circumstances
• Respond to emergencies per protocol
• Follow site-specific operations manuals and post orders
• Greet visitors and assist as needed
• Patrol the facility on foot or by vehicle
• Monitor phones, CCTV systems, and alarms
