We are accepting applications for a Full-time Hourly Exempt Armed Protective Service Captain in Huntsville, Alabama. This essential position requires professionalism and a strong commitment to protecting our sites, staff, and clients.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Protect the principal against threats
• Manage federal building access control, ID checks, security equipment monitoring, and patrols
• Monitor surveillance cameras for disruptions or unlawful activities
• Prepare detailed reports on daily activities and incidents
• Operate magnetometers and X-ray machines effectively
• Use communication devices such as two-way radios clearly and concisely
• Respond to emergencies with excellent listening and service skills
• Perform CPR or first aid as needed
• Maintain credentials per contract requirements
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years old
• U.S. citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident with honorable discharge from the U.S. Armed Forces
• Possess a Social Security Card with your name and SSN
• At least 2 years of armed security experience or 1 year law enforcement experience in full-duty status
• Honorable discharge from at least 2 years of service in the U.S. Armed Forces
• Fluent in English, able to read, write, and comprehend
• Qualified to use a revolver or semi-automatic firearm
• Strong knowledge of the security industry
• Excellent communication skills
• Customer service mindset
• Effective communication with all levels of internal and external customers

Physical Demands:

• Perform tasks in assigned duties, including prolonged walking, standing, sitting, and stooping
• Remain calm and clear in stressful situations with frequent public contact
• Stay alert for up to 12 hours, reacting quickly to emergencies
• Subdue violent individuals or intervene in crises when necessary
• Occasional running, lifting, and climbing stairs

• MEB Expandable Baton
• DHS Letter of Suitability
• Initial Weapons Training
• Basic Training (72/64 hours)
• NWDTP Training
• Firearms Qualification
• FPS Orientation Certificate
• O.C. aerosol spray
