Job summary

Allied Universal, North America's leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Security Officer Armed Patrol Driver Alarm Response in Taylorsville, NC. In this role you will safeguard clients across government and other sites, conduct routine armed patrols, deter incidents, and respond to alarms with professionalism while providing excellent customer service.

This full-time, hourly position requires a valid driver's license and an armed guard card (preferred).

Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or authorized personnel while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities within a government corrections environment.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions, unauthorized activity, and/or policy violations.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and escalation procedures.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify authorization as required, and maintain awareness of movement throughout assigned locations.
• Prepare clear and accurate reports, maintain required documentation, and communicate relevant observations to supervisors and appropriate site personnel.
