Qualifications

Valid driver's license in the state where the job is located.
At least three years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security experience or a college degree.
Valid armed guard card or license.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Background investigation required by law.
Drug screen required by law.
Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and the public at a government site following security procedures.
Conduct regular armed patrols of interior areas, counters, parking, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor access points, verify authorization, report unusual conditions and policy violations.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and disturbances in a calm, professional manner with site personnel.
Prepare clear reports and maintain activity logs documenting patrols and observations.
