Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Armed Patrol Driver in Puyallup, WA to protect clients across aerospace/defense sites. The role involves driving patrol routes, monitoring areas, and delivering professional customer service while upholding security protocol.

Position Type: Full Time. Pay Rate: $29.73 / Hour. Workdays include Mon/Tue/Fri/Thu, with afternoon and night shifts as listed above. Allied Universal emphasizes safety, integrity, and a collaborative culture.

Qualifications

• Possess a valid concealed carry weapons permit.
• Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
• A valid driver's license is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation will be conducted.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors at an aerospace and defense location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site protocols and reporting requirements.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of facilities, controlled areas, parking areas, and perimeter boundaries to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials, visitor authorizations, and vehicle access per site requirements.
• Maintain accurate activity logs, incident reports, and required documentation, and communicate information to Allied Universal leadership and client representatives.
