Job summary

Constellation Energy Corp. in Middletown Township, PA is seeking an Armed Nuclear Security Officer to defend the site against radiological sabotage and unauthorized access. You will patrol, inspect, monitor, and respond to threats as part of the security team.

Requirements include 21+ years old, a high school diploma or GED, ability to obtain nuclear unescorted access, and passing drug/alcohol tests, background checks, and NRC training. 12-hour shifts, nights, weekends, and overtime are required.

Qualifications

• Demonstrare ability to interact cordially and communicate with the public.
• Must be able to operate radio/telephone equipment and surveillance systems.
• Must meet minimum state requirements to carry a firearm.
• Must pass drug and alcohol test with negative results.
• Must be able to pass extensive background check, including criminal history, references, employment/education verifications, and credit check.
• Must be able to work 12-hour shifts, including nights, weekends, and overtime.
• Must comply with NRC, 10 CFR Part 26 & Appendix B to Part 73 General Criteria for Security Personnel.

Responsibilities

• Maintain qualifications for position.
• Conduct patrols and inspections.
• Monitor access to security areas.
• Perform search activities.
• Respond to threats and contingency events.
• Perform equipment testing.
• Act as a member of an Armed Response Force to protect nuclear centers.
• Conduct armed patrols and control access and egress of personnel, materials and vehicles.
• Monitor CCTV and alarm systems.
• Deter misconduct and safety violations.
