Job summary

CHRISTUS Health in Beaumont, TX is seeking an Armed Security Officer to deter criminal activity and protect patients, associates, and visitors. You will patrol facilities, respond to codes and incidents, and assist clinical staff with security needs.

Requires security experience, Texas TDPSPSB commission where applicable, and robust written and verbal skills. The role requires 6AM–6PM shifts (12 hours), travel between facilities as needed, and CHRISTUS-approved uniforms.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum two years armed security experience preferred (military service may substitute).
• Law enforcement experience preferred.
• Healthcare security experience preferred.
• Verbal de-escalation training within 60 days of hire; required certifications listed below.

Responsibilities

• Meets expectations of CHRISTUS competencies.
• Conducts frequent security patrols of facilities and grounds.
• Identifies and reports trends related to security issues.
• Takes initial information for incident reports with factual notes and timely submissions.
• Responds to service requests courteously and promptly.
• Assists with enforcing rules and parking controls and escorts in crises.
• Demonstrates competence with security systems (CCTV, radios, pagers).
• Maintains safety by reporting hazards observed during rounds.
• Performs other duties as assigned by security management.
