Qualifications

• High School Diploma or its equivalent required.
• Minimum two years of armed security experience preferred; healthcare security experience preferred.
• Verbal de-escalation and firearms-related training may be required depending on location.

Responsibilities

• Conduct frequent security patrols of facilities and grounds.
• Deterrence of criminal activity and protection of patients, associates, and visitors.
• Respond to emergency codes and incidents; prepare incident reports promptly.
• Enforce CHRISTUS Health policies and state laws; assist with handling incidents.
• Operate security systems and communicate via radio and dispatch systems.
• Assist clinical staff with non-crisis and safety-related tasks as needed.
