CHRISTUS Health in Mount Pleasant, TX is seeking an Armed Security Officer to deter crime and protect patients, staff, and visitors. The role includes patrol of hospital facilities, responding to all emergency codes, and assisting with investigations and security-related tasks as directed by security leadership.

Responsibilities include documenting activities, handling confidential information, and aiding during disturbances in various hospital areas.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• DL in state of employment required.
• SECUR N certification preferred.

Responsabilités

• Performs a variety of routine daily security duties and tasks in a professional and cooperative manner
• Completes daily reports and records by clearly writing in complete details of activities on daily shift
• Reports are never to be taken off property for confidential reasons
• Completes a variance report on any incident such as thefts, injuries, arrests, and damage to property
• Observes employees leaving carrying hospital property
• Assists employees and others when disturbances occur in the Emergency Room, outpatient areas, nursing floors, and all hospital areas
• Assists hospital in movement of bodies
• Maintains security of remains in storage and ensures proper identification on everybody received
• Checks cold storage daily on each shift and records malfunctions
• Handles valuables/ deposits/ lost & found/ and keys in appropriate manner to protect property
