Qualifications

• Requires state general law enforcement certification and basic training.
• Experience in public safety or law enforcement preferred.

Responsibilities

• Intervenes effectively when confronted by unruly or dangerous individuals.
• Apprehends suspects and participates in arrests within jurisdiction.
• Completes investigations and prepares cases for court proceedings.
• Responds to routine and emergency calls for assistance.
• Documents incidents via uniform reports and other required forms.
• Communicates calmly and professionally with others as needed.
• Collaborates with community police agencies as appropriate.
• Provides armed response to imminent threats on Advocate Health property.
• Testifies in court and prepares criminal cases for proceedings.
