Job summary

Pac-Tac Protective Solutions is seeking armed security personnel for retail locations in the Seattle area and surrounding Portland metro area. Roles involve providing a visible security presence, assisting customers, and safeguarding store assets.

Positions include day, swing, and graveyard shifts with preference for candidates willing to work any shift. Must maintain firearm proficiency and comply with state licensing requirements. Uniforms provided; firearm lease to company per approved list.

Qualifications

• Experience in armed security, military, law enforcement, or retail loss prevention preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills required.
• Ability to stay calm and professional in high-stress situations.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional customer service while maintaining a professional security appearance.
• Engage with customers and employees in a friendly, approachable manner.
• Utilize verbal de-escalation techniques to resolve conflicts and disruptive behavior.
• Assist customers with directions, store information, and general inquiries.
• Monitor store activity to deter theft, fraud, safety hazards, and policy violations.
• Conduct interior and exterior patrols of the store and parking areas.
• Respond to emergencies and security incidents prioritizing safety.
• Prepare incident, activity, and investigative reports with accuracy.
• Coordinate with store management, law enforcement, and emergency responders when needed.
• Enforce company policies and procedures with professionalism and respect.
• Maintain firearm proficiency, licensing, and training per state regulations.
• 8-9 hour shifts; standing/walking required.

Position Summary

Provide a safe and welcoming environment for customers, associates, and visitors while protecting company assets. Serve as a visible security presence focused on customer service, conflict resolution, de-escalation, and incident prevention. Use sound judgment and professionalism to resolve situations without physical interaction.

• Respond to emergencies, disturbances, and security incidents while prioritizing the safety of all parties.
• Prepare accurate incident, activity, and investigative reports.
• Coordinate with store management, law enforcement, and emergency responders when necessary.
• Enforce company policies and procedures with professionalism and respect.
• Maintain firearm proficiency, licensing, and training standards in compliance with state regulations.
• 8-9 Hour Shifts, standing/walking required

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous armed security, military, law enforcement, or retail loss prevention experience.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
• Proven ability to remain calm and professional during high-stress situations.
• Training in conflict resolution, crisis intervention, and de-escalation techniques.
