Job summary

Allied Universal in Linthicum Heights, MD is seeking a Part Time Armed Lobby Driver/Security Officer. You will greet visitors at a front desk, verify IDs, control access, and drive between aerospace/defense locations, delivering professional security and customer service.

The position offers two shifts with a pay rate of $25.42 per hour. Must hold an armed guard card/license and a valid driver’s license, and be 21 or older. Prior security experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of security-related experience.
• Armed guard card or license required.
• Valid driver's license required.
• State/local security license preferred.
• 21+ years old for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen per laws.
• Training programs and licensing may apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors at a front desk within an aerospace and defense location, following site-specific access-control procedures.
• Greet visitors, verify identification and authorization, issue visitor credentials, and direct guests per facility requirements.
• Monitor entry activity, receive and route calls, maintain visitor logs, and communicate with site personnel.
• Respond to incidents and alarms calmly, following emergency procedures and notifying contacts.
• Deter unauthorized access by observing activity and documenting security-related incidents.
