Job summary

BTI Security is seeking a vigilant security professional for full-time, on-site duties protecting a federal setting. Responsibilities include access control, surveillance monitoring, and detailed incident reporting, with strong emphasis on clear communication and emergency readiness.

Candidates must have 21+ years old, English fluency, and robust armed security or law enforcement background; CN and credentialing requirements apply.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Able to obtain suitability/clearance.
• US citizenship or lawful permanent resident status with military discharge eligibility.
• Social Security Card issued bearing name and SSN.
• 2+ years security (armed) experience or 1+ year law enforcement in full-duty status.
• 2+ years as a US Armed Forces member with honorable discharge.
• Fluent English reading/writing/speaking.
• Able to qualify with revolver or semi-automatic.
• Strong knowledge of the security industry.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Customer service-driven mindset.
• Ability to present information to all levels of internal and external customers.

Responsibilities

• Protect the principal against possible threats.
• Control federal building access; verify employee and visitor IDs; monitor security equipment.
• Roving patrols of interior and exterior federal property.
• Monitor surveillance cameras for disruptions or unlawful activities.
• Provide detailed daily activity/incident reports.
• Operate magnetometer and X-ray machines as required.
• Use two-way radios clearly and concisely.
• Emergency response and evaluation procedures with strong listening skills.
• Perform CPR or first aid when needed.
• Maintain credentials per contract requirements.
• Other duties as assigned by Supervisor/Project Manager.
