Job summary

Allied Universal, North America's leading security provider, seeks a Part-Time Armed Driver Patrol Officer in Chicago, IL. You will perform routine armed vehicle and foot patrols, deter security incidents, and assist residents, guests, and staff with professional service.

Qualifications

• At least two years of security-related experience.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of residential buildings, common areas, parking facilities, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorized entry as directed by site policies, and report suspicious or unusual conditions.
• Document patrols, incidents, and security-related observations accurately and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site management.
