Job summary

Walden Security is recruiting experienced Court Security Officers to guard courthouses under the USMS contract. This role involves armed security, entrance control, roving patrols, and escort duties for judges and court personnel.

We offer a $1,000 sign-on bonus after 90 days and require a high school diploma/GED, 3 years of verifiable law enforcement experience, a valid driver’s license, and successful background/DOJ clearance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Three (3) calendar years of verifiable law enforcement or military equivalent experience within the last seven years; must have general arrest authority.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and a safe driving record for the past five years; DOJ clearance required; completion of certified law enforcement training. Außerdem, must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

• Perform entrance control with security screening equipment and verify items.
• Roving patrol of court facilities and grounds.
• Stand guard at stationary posts including monitoring CCTV and alarm systems.
• Provide armed escort services for judges and court personnel.
• Direct traffic and control parking at court facility properties.
• Enforce federal law and protect government employees, property, and the public.
• Prepare incident reports and maintain records of contract performance and security issues.
• Secure unattended courtrooms and test security devices prior to proceedings.
• Maintain courtroom presence and enforce court rules and orders as needed.
