Job summary

Walden Security is seeking experienced Court Security Officers to protect courthouses under a USMS contract. This role involves armed security, entrance control, and escort duties supporting court operations.

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, verifiable law enforcement or military security experience, a valid driver's license, and the ability to pass a background check and drug screen. A $1000 sign-on bonus is paid after 90 days on contract.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with verifiable law enforcement or security experience within the last 7 years.
• Valid driver's license with clean five-year driving record; DOJ clearance; certified security training.
• Must be 21+; able to pass drug screen and background checks; fluent in English.

Responsibilities

• Perform entrance control using security screening equipment to detect weapons and contraband.
• Roaming patrol of court facilities and grounds per post orders.
• Stand at stationary posts, monitor CCTV, duress alarms, and other security devices.
• Provide armed escort services for judges and court personnel as directed.
• Direct traffic and control lights on court facility properties when applicable.
• Enforce federal law and detain unauthorized access to government property or court proceedings.
• Prepare reports and records on incidents, labor hours, accidents or threats.
• Secure unattended courtrooms, inspect rooms prior to proceedings, and test security devices.
• Enforce court rules and provide protection to court proceedings as circumstances dictate.
