The Arizona Supreme Court is seeking an armed Security Officer to patrol the State Courts Building, operate screening equipment, and monitor CCTV during overnight shifts. Training through the Court Security Officer programs is required before certification.

This role includes working holidays and weekends and may involve night hours. The position emphasizes safety, security protocols, and customer service for all visitors, staff, and contractors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent plus three years' experience in security or related field.
• Ability to meet firearms standards and knowledge of security procedures.
• Valid driver’s license; strong interpersonal communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide armed security at the Arizona State Courts Building, patrolling building, grounds and parking lots.
• Operate screening equipment and monitor restricted areas and security systems; handle CCTV and alarms.
• Complete required Court Security Officer Academy training and work shifts including overnights, holidays and weekends.
