Job summary

Walden Security is seeking experienced Court Security Officers to guard courthouses under the USMS contract in Burlington, VT. You will enforce federal law, conduct screenings, and provide escort services as needed.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, at least 3 years as a certified law enforcement officer or equivalent, and a valid driver's license with DOJ clearance. Must be at least 21 years old and able to pass a background check.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 3+ years verifiable law enforcement or military experience within the last 7 years.
• Must have general arrest authority and English literacy to read, write, speak, and understand procedures.
• Valid driver's license and DOJ clearance; completed or graduated from certified law enforcement training.

Responsibilities

• Perform entrance control using screening equipment and verify access at courthouses.
• Roving patrol of court facilities and grounds per post orders.
• Stand guard at stationary posts including courtrooms and judge chambers.
• Provide armed escort services for judges and court personnel when directed.
• Direct traffic and manage parking and pedestrian flow on facility properties.
• Enforce federal law and protect government personnel and property.
