Job summary

Allied Universal in CHICAGO, IL is seeking an Armed Security Officer Full Time Armed Patrol to safeguard clients across campus locations. You will conduct routine patrols, monitor entrances, and respond to incidents while delivering exceptional customer service to students, staff, and visitors.

A valid Armed Guard Card or License and at least 1 year of security experience are required, along with a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

Armed Guard Card or License required.
At least 1 year of security-related experience.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Background investigation required.
Drug screen required where permitted by law.
Industry-specific security training participation.
Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus partners by carrying out site-specific procedures and access-control practices.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and notify appropriate contacts or emergency personnel.
Conduct regular and random patrols of campus buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations.
Monitor entrances and exits; verify authorized access according to site procedures; assist with visitor direction and campus information.
Prepare clear activity and incident reports and communicate observations to supervision and site representatives.
