Job summary

Jefferson Health in Philadelphia is seeking a Security Officer to protect employees, students, visitors and property across the campus. You will patrol on foot or bicycle, respond to incidents, and file written reports as required.

The role requires rotating shifts and the ability to work all shifts. A valid driver's license and proficiency with Microsoft Office are required; associate degree is preferred and security or law enforcement experience expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s Degree preferred.
• Security experience or prior law enforcement or military experience required.
• Valid Driver’s License required; pass medical/drug screenings per policy.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic report writing.

Responsibilities

• Interact with co-workers and visitors in line with Jefferson values.
• Patrol buildings and campus areas; check high-risk locations for violations.
• Provide on-campus escorts and report safety concerns in writing.
• Produce incident reports and ensure they are submitted before shift ends.
• Assist crime victims and coordinate with authorities as needed.
• Support emergency responses during fires, threats, or other incidents.
• Document security incidents and escort unauthorized individuals off campus.
