Job summary

Jefferson Health is seeking an experienced Security Sergeant to support our Security team at a Jefferson campus location. The role involves patrolling buildings and campus areas, supervising security officers, and coordinating with the Lieutenant to ensure optimal coverage and safety.

The position requires responding to serious incidents, rotating shifts, and maintaining compliant safety practices across all operations and locations associated with Jefferson Health.

Qualifications

• Experience in a hospital security environment preferred.
• Ability to rotate shifts and respond to incidents according to policy.
• Strong observation and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Interacts with co-workers, visitors and staff in line with Jefferson values.
• Patrols buildings and campus areas, checks security and reports concerns in writing.
• Monitors officers on shift, acts as charge officer and communicates conduct issues.
• Reviews incident reports and ensures proper documentation before end of shift.
• Provides VIP protection, crowd control for events, and liaises with law enforcement.
