Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking an Armed Security Officer - Access Control Gate in San Antonio, TX. The role focuses on monitoring access points, verifying credentials, and maintaining secure, welcoming environments at a financial institution.

The position is part-time with a pay rate of $17.00 per hour, offering flexible day-time shifts and opportunities for growth through our Shift claim technology and training programs.

Qualifications

• Armed guard card or license required.
• Comfort with computer/tablet use preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Access control or badge experience preferred.
• Must be 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check per applicable laws.
• Drug screen as required by law.
• State/local licensing rules may apply.
• Driver's license for driving roles only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service at access-control points for clients, employees, and visitors.
• Monitor entry/exit points and verify credentials; manage visitor access and logs.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and security concerns following escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular patrols of the facility and perimeter to deter unauthorized access.
• Communicate with bank personnel, visitors, and first responders about incidents and policy issues.
