Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer - Part Time Flexible Access Control in San Antonio, TX to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with flexible shifts. Pay rate is $20.60 per hour and you can earn more by picking up additional shifts via the scheduling platform.

The role focuses on access control, customer service, and incident response at a technology and data infrastructure location.

Qualifications

• CPR Certification is preferred.
• A Guard Card/License is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, contractors, and/or employees by carrying out site‑specific access control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology and data infrastructure location.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, maintain entry records, and communicate access concerns through established reporting channels.
• Respond to access‑related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following post orders and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, building areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns.
• Maintain accurate logs, complete required incident reports, and communicate professionally with site personnel and Allied Universal leadership.
