Chess Wizards in Arlington, VA is seeking enthusiastic instructors to lead after‑school chess classes for elementary students, promoting learning through play and will travel between local school sites.

You will deliver our curriculum, manage a lively classroom, and foster sportsmanship while fostering critical thinking and creativity in young learners. Reliable transportation and weekday afternoon availability are required.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching or coaching children in educational or recreational settings.
• Ability to lead engaging, interactive chess sessions with elementary students.
• Strong focus on safety, supervision, and school policies.

Responsibilities

• Lead fun, interactive chess classes for 10–15 elementary students.
• Teach chess fundamentals using our structured curriculum.
• Maintain a positive, energetic classroom environment.

• Follow school safety protocols during arrivals, dismissals, and activities.
• Travel to various local school sites for each session.
