You will represent clients in court, engage in negotiations, and manage cases from start to finish, including trials, in a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• Active membership in the State Bar of Arizona in good standing by start date.
• At least two years of criminal litigation experience.
• Experience reviewing discovery, evaluating evidence, negotiating resolutions, and appearing in court.
• Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
• Ability to manage an assigned caseload, meet deadlines, and keep clients informed.
• Sound judgment, professionalism, and a commitment to protecting clients’ rights.
• Ability to attend court appearances and client meetings throughout the Phoenix metropolitan area and Arizona.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in misdemeanor and felony criminal cases throughout Arizona.
• Handle cases from initial appearance through final resolution.
• Appear in municipal, justice, and superior courts regularly.
• Conduct pretrial conferences, evidentiary hearings, settlement conferences, and trials.
• Review police reports, body-worn camera footage, forensic evidence, and other discovery.
• Identify legal and factual issues and develop effective defense strategies.
• Draft and argue motions, including suppression motions and other pretrial motions.
• Negotiate with prosecutors and advocate for favorable resolutions.
• Prepare clients and witnesses for hearings and trial.
• Maintain regular communication with clients regarding their cases.
• Work collaboratively with the firm's attorneys, paralegal, and support staff.
• Maintain organized case files, deadlines, and court calendars.
