ADMINISTRATOR QUALIFICATIONS JOB DESCRIPTION
The Administrator must 21 years old and be certified by the CCLD and meet all Department requirements for an administrator of an Adult Residential Care Facility. This person must be fingerprint cleared before starting, have experience in providing care and super- vision to adult residents with developmental disabilities, including those who lack hazard awareness, and an interest in helping adults with daily living challenges. Mature judgment and the ability to act in times of crisis. Good physical and mental health is required as are a valid/current California driver’s license, a driving record free of accidents for the past three years, and a current in person CPR and First Aid certificate. Good physical health will be verified with health screening /TB clearance by a licensed medical professional. The Administrator must be capable of covering all shifts in the case of staff call outs. The Administrator must be capable of managing the staff, budget and operations of the facility. The Administrator must have completed the required four-hour HIV-TB course and must maintain the current status of his/her administrator’s certificate by completing a minimum of 20 hours of continuing education units annually.

The Administrator of the facility will have an office on the premises. When not present, the Assistant Administrator will have the responsibility and authority to act in behalf of the Administrator in all areas related to resident care and supervision.
