Job summary

Governmentjobs.com is seeking an Arena Attendant to support the indoor events center in Palmer, Alaska. The role involves custodial work, cash handling, event setup/teardown, and crowd/concession duties across rotating shifts seven days a week.

Positions include one full-time seasonal and two part-time seasonal posts. Will operate cleaning equipment and assist the Parks and Facilities Manager in daily activities, with varied, routine tasks and the possibility of early start times and late

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate with patrons of all ages, parents, volunteers, and staff.
• Ability to work as a member of a team towards a common goal.
• Ability to meet attendance requirements for the position.

Responsibilities

• Perform custodial duties such as sweeping/mopping floors, cleaning restrooms, windows, and walls.
• Removes snow and ice from sidewalks/parking lot.
• Operate cash register, telephone, copier, floor scrubber, snow blower, Zamboni, hand tools, and small power tools.
• Work in concession stand as required.
• Set up and tear down for events; observe facility rules.
