Job summary

Legends Global seeks a Production and Event Manager for John Paul Jones Arena in Charlottesville, VA. You will plan, coordinate, and oversee events of all sizes, interacting with clients, staff, and contractors to ensure every aspect meets requirements and timelines.

Responsibilities include negotiating with promoters, coordinating technical needs, supervising staff, and driving profitability through efficient scheduling and service delivery.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years concert and live production experience and/or training.
• Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university.
• Working knowledge of the principles of facility management, services, and equipment for a similar facility. Venue management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Meets with promoters and client groups to plan events and promote stadium services.
• Coordinate technical requirements, diagrams, riders, advances, labor calls and equipment orders.
• Explain contract provisions, policies and procedures to promoters/clients.
• Coordinate with internal departments and external service providers for events.
• Work with finance to prepare cost estimates and final billing for events.
• Inform clients of deadlines and event timelines.
• Monitor events day-of for successful completion and resolve issues.
• Supervise event staff and oversee facility operations for events.
• Suggest process improvements to scheduling and setup/strike operations.
• Act as manager on duty when required.
