Job summary

Oak View Group (OVG) operates the Cross Insurance Arena in Portland, ME, delivering premier guest experiences through staffing across ushering, ticket scanning, concourse service and safety roles. This part-time position supports fan care and safety at events, with a focus on accessibility and customer care.

You will join a team that keeps guests informed, directs movements, and upholds policies to ensure a safe, enjoyable environment for all attendees at events ranging from hockey to concerts.

Qualifications

• Experience in a hospitality or entertainment environment is preferred.
• Must be passionate about helping people.
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
• Maintain a positive attitude while handling difficult situations.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Prepare your assigned section for guests; wipe seats, spot hazards, report issues.
• Greet fans with a great smile once gates open.
• Scan event tickets to ensure proper entry.
• Assist fans in locating their ticketed seats.
• Be alert to hazards and report incidents promptly.
• Monitor your area for issues and create lasting memories for fans.
• Respond professionally to guest concerns/complaints.
• Assist guests in ADA-accessible seating sections.
• Enforce building policies for a safe environment.
• Manage foot traffic flow during large crowds.
• Check IDs to verify age for alcohol purchases.
• Know arena evacuation plan to assist during emergencies.
