Job summary

Connecticut College seeks qualified candidates to serve as the Manager Events and Marketing to deliver high quality, well-maintained athletic facilities with a focus on Dayton Arena.

In the off-season, this position will assist the Associate Athletic Director for Facility & Operations with athletic facilities and field operations, rentals and maintenance. The arena manager coordinates operations including planning, scheduling, budgeting, supervision, and maintenance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 2 years in ice arena operations.
• Knowledge of plumbing, electrical and energy management systems.
• Proven leadership with staff mentoring ability.
• Ability to work a demanding schedule including nights, weekends, holidays.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all operations for Dayton Arena, including planning, scheduling, budgeting and programming.
• Hire, supervise and train arena staff such as Ice Rink Assistant and on-call drivers.
• Create arena schedules and coordinate staffing and support for events.
• Maintain Dayton Arena daily operations and ice-making infrastructure.
• Develop and oversee the arena budget and procurement of supplies and services.
