Job summary

800flowerscareers is seeking an Area Coordinator 1 to lead on the warehouse floor, perform hands-on tasks, and ensure accurate order processing and inventory control.

You will coach seasonal staff, coordinate workflow, use WMS and RF scanners, maintain safety standards, and support peak-season projects and training. This is a fast-paced role requiring flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays during peak seasons.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years warehouse or distribution experience required.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Proficient with WMS, RF scanners and basic computer use.

Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on tasks in the assigned area of production including order picking, packing, inventory management, and product handling.
• Provide leadership and direction to seasonal and temporary employees, acting as the primary point of contact on the floor especially during peak season.
• Use Warehouse Management System (WMS) and RF scanning tools to manage inventory flow and resolve discrepancies.
• Identify workflow issues or process inefficiencies and propose alternate methods to improve speed and accuracy.
• Communicate area needs and progress to warehouse supervisors and other team leads.
• Ensure work area cleanliness and organization meets company safety and sanitation standards.
• Support special projects, cross-training initiatives, and other operational priorities as needed.
