We have an exciting opportunity for a Team Lead to join our company and support our Algona, IA location. As a Team Lead, you will oversee a staff of production employees and coordinate internal and external resources to ensure safe and smooth operations. You will communicate effectively across all levels of the organization, support seasonal production activities, monitor product quality and inventory, and ensure adherence to established standards and quality plans. By proactively preparing workforce, equipment, and materials for upcoming shifts, maintaining accurate records, and partnering with leadership on workforce planning and improvement initiatives, you will help keep operations running smoothly.

This role will be 100% on-site at the location.

What You’ll Do
  • Ensure effective communication with all levels of the team to ensure messages are accurate and complete
  • Support all seasonal production operations
  • Ensure adherence to all applicable standards in production areas
  • Monitor product quality to ensure ongoing compliance with the Quality Plan
  • Proactively plan to ensure the workforce, equipment, and materials are prepared and available for upcoming process orders and shifts
  • Inventory management
  • Provide input and support to the management team as needed on capital projects, focused improvement initiatives, workforce planning, and scheduling
  • Ensure that all assigned records, documents, and reports are accurately complete
  • Serve as a production technician as needed to support operations
  • Assume shift supervisor responsibilities during their absence
  • Various other duties as assigned

Physical Job Requirements
  • Stand and sit for extended periods
  • Work both outdoors and indoors in hot, cold, wet, and dry conditions
  • Lift up to 60 lbs.
  • Perform work that involves repetitive motion and/or repetitive lifting
  • Exposure to dust and plant allergens including but not limited to corn, sunflower, cotton, and canola pollen and protein and sorghum as well as potential mold spores and/or chemicals in the course of your duties
