Job summary

Ross Stores is seeking an Area Supervisor to join our team. The role covers specific store areas and supervises store operations when the Manager on Duty.

You will open/close the store, supervise associates, and maintain a clean, well-merchandised shopping environment while ensuring alignment with company processes. Responsibilities include driving safety, loss prevention, front-end supervision, and preventing shrink through daily routines.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior customer service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the store and supervise Associates when acting as Manager on Duty.
• Maintain merchandise presentation and clean work areas.
• Execute and supervise store operational processes as needed.
• Ensure safety and security of the store and customers.
• Train and coach Associates on cash registers and loss-prevention policies.
• Manage front-end operations, staffing, and customer flow.
