General Purpose

The Area Supervisor is part of Store Leadership, responsible for a specific area and overall store operations when acting as Manager on Duty. They supervise associates, open/close the store, and maintain a friendly shopping environment.

Essential Functions
Maintaining Safe & Secure Environments
  • Prioritize safety, practicing safe behaviors.
  • Maintain awareness for a secure shopping environment, report unsafe conditions.
  • Ensure building security, including entrances, exits, EAS devices, and cash security.
  • Remove clutter, ensure emergency egress is clear.
  • Handle customer safety, accident prevention, and emergency procedures.
  • Test fire alarms and respond to alarms after hours.
Customer Service
  • Respect all customers, associates, and leaders.
  • Maintain courtesy, friendliness, and professionalism.
Personal and Store Brand
  • Represent the company brand professionally.
  • Maintain store cleanliness and merchandise standards.
General Merchandising
  • Ensure recovery, sizing, and markdowns meet standards.
  • Receive merchandise and process deliveries.
  • Keep stockrooms organized and secure back stock.
Loss Prevention
  • Follow Loss Prevention programs, safeguard confidential info.
  • Maintain PVM system, conduct package inspections.
Front End Supervision
  • Maximize productivity, manage lines, train associates on POS.
Fitting Rooms
  • Maintain cleanliness, audit tags, enforce return policies.
Administrative Duties
  • Handle cash pulls, deposits, payroll, and other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Excellent communication skills, fluency in English.
  • Previous customer service and supervisory experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with POS systems.
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends.
Physical Requirements

Ability to stand, walk, lift over 25 lbs, and use store equipment.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Retail associates, stockroom leads.
