ServiceMaster is seeking an Area Supervisor in Mississippi to oversee the daily operations of assigned facilities, ensuring they are cleaned, maintained, and staffed to meet customer requirements. A positive relationship with customers is a key objective.

You will lead building staff, train personnel, and monitor performance; report inspection discrepancies to the Division Manager; and assist with special cleaning projects. Salary is $10.25 per hour with a $300 sign-on bonus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise day-to-day cleaning of assigned buildings.
• Ensure staffing per budget and staffing plan.
• Meet with building staff regularly.
• Train staff per account needs.
• Report inspection discrepancies to Division Manager.
• Address areas not meeting standards and verify corrections.
• Assist with special cleaning projects as assigned.
• Notify Division Manager of attendance issues.
• Inspect buildings and complete inspection reports.
• Ensure supplies and equipment available for tasks.
• Maintain cleaning equipment in safe working order.
• Develop positive relationships with building contacts and Division Manager.
• Recommend additional services to improve cleanliness.
• Perform related duties as assigned.

Job Title: Area Supervisor

BASIC SCOPE/PURPOSE

Assist with the supervision of the overall operation of the assigned facilities to ensure that they are properly cleaned, maintained and staffed at all times to match customer requirements. To ensure that a good and effective relationship is maintained with each customer at all times.

Job Functions

• Assist in the supervision of the day-to-day cleaning of assigned buildings by providing leadership and support to ServiceMaster employees. Ensure each assigned building is staffed appropriately as defined by the building budget /staffing plan.
• Meet with building staff on regular basis.
• Train staff according to the needs of the account
• Report all inspection discrepancies to the Division Manager.
• Follow up on all areas not meeting ServiceMaster cleaning standards to ensure that deficiencies have been corrected.
• Assist in special cleaning projects as assigned.
• Notify Division Manager of employees that fail to report to work or are consistently late.
• Inspect assigned buildings to ensure that the buildings are being properly cleaned and maintained. Complete necessary inspection reports as requested.
• Take initiative to resolve problems at hand when staff is unavailable and then make arrangements with staff to prevent future problems.
• Assist Division Manager in ensuring that cleaning supplies, paper products, and equipment are available for ServiceMaster staff to perform assigned cleaning tasks.
• Ensure that all cleaning equipment is in good working order, is clean, and can be operated in a safe manner.
• Develop and maintain a positive relationship with the appropriate building contacts and the assigned Division Manager to ensure that we are meeting the needs of our customer.
• Recommend additional services that would improve the cleanliness and appearance of assigned buildings.
• Perform related duties as assigned
