Job Overview

The Area Supervisor is a key member of Store Leadership, responsible for specific store areas and overall store operations when acting as Manager on Duty. Responsibilities include opening and closing the store, supervising associates, maintaining a friendly environment, ensuring merchandise presentation, and executing operational processes.

Key Responsibilities
Maintaining Safe & Secure Environments
  • Prioritize safety, practicing safe behaviors at all times.
  • Maintain high awareness on the sales floor to ensure safety and security.
  • Secure the building, including managing entrances/exits, surveillance systems, and cash security.
  • Remove clutter and ensure clear emergency exits.
  • Manage customer safety, including accident prevention and emergency procedures.
  • Test fire alarm systems and respond to alarms as needed.
Customer Service
  • Treat all customers, associates, and leaders with respect.
  • Demonstrate courtesy, friendliness, and professionalism consistently.
Store Presentation and Merchandising
  • Support the company brand through professional appearance and store cleanliness.
  • Oversee merchandise recovery, sizing, markdowns, and receiving processes.
  • Ensure back-stock is secured and processed per policy.
Loss Prevention
  • Follow Loss Prevention programs, maintain a strong presence on the sales floor, and safeguard confidential information.
  • Maintain surveillance systems and conduct package inspections.
Front End Operations
  • Ensure efficient checkout processes, train associates, and manage equipment.
Fitting Rooms & Administrative Duties
  • Maintain clean and organized fitting rooms.
  • Perform administrative tasks such as cash handling, scheduling, and payroll reporting.
Qualifications
  • Excellent communication skills, fluent in English.
  • Previous customer service and supervisory experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with POS systems.
  • Able to work evenings and weekends.
Physical Requirements

Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, and lift over 25 lbs as needed, using store equipment and supplies.
