Job Summary

The Area Supervisor is part of the Store Leadership team, responsible for a specific store area and overall store operations when acting as Manager on Duty. Key responsibilities include opening and closing the store, supervising associates, maintaining a friendly environment, ensuring merchandise presentation, and adhering to operational standards.

Essential Functions

1. Maintaining Safe & Secure Environments: Ensure safety is prioritized, monitor sales floor for hazards, manage security measures, and respond to emergencies.
2. Customer Service: Treat all customers and staff with respect, uphold the company brand, and maintain store cleanliness and organization.
3. General Merchandising: Oversee merchandise recovery, receiving, stocking, and presentation, ensuring compliance with company standards and loss prevention policies.
4. Loss Prevention: Follow Loss Prevention programs, safeguard confidential information, and execute best practices to minimize theft and damage.
5. Front End Supervision: Ensure efficient checkout processes, train staff, manage line pacing, and maintain front-end equipment.
6. Fitting Rooms: Maintain cleanliness, ensure proper tagging and return of merchandise.
7. Administrative Duties: Handle cash management, payroll, and other store operations as assigned.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior customer service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with POS systems.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Physical Requirements

Stand, walk, bend, squat, lift up to 25 lbs, and operate store equipment as needed.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Supervise retail associates and stockroom staff.
