General Purpose:

The Area Supervisor is part of the Store Leadership responsible for a specific area of the store and the general operations when functioning as the Manager on Duty. They oversee opening and closing the store, supervising associates, maintaining a friendly shopping environment, ensuring proper merchandise presentation, and executing operational processes.

Essential Functions include but are not limited to:

  • Maintaining safe and secure environments by practicing safe behaviors, ensuring safety awareness, and managing security protocols.
  • Providing excellent customer service by treating all customers and associates with respect and professionalism.
  • Representing and supporting the company brand through professional appearance and store maintenance.
  • Managing merchandising tasks such as recovery, sizing, markdowns, receiving merchandise, and maintaining stockrooms.
  • Executing loss prevention strategies and safeguarding confidential information.
  • Supervising front-end operations, including cashier training, equipment maintenance, and customer flow management.
  • Overseeing fitting room maintenance and compliance.
  • Performing administrative duties such as cash handling, payroll, and other tasks assigned by the store manager.
  • Demonstrating core competencies like managing work processes, business acumen, planning, talent development, collaboration, leadership, communication, and accountability.

Qualifications include:

  • Excellent verbal communication skills, fluency in English.
  • Prior customer service and supervisory experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with POS equipment and basic math skills.
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Physical Requirements include:

  • Using store equipment, standing, walking, bending, squatting, lifting over 25 lbs, and other physical tasks.

Supervisory Responsibilities: Retail associates and stockroom leads (if applicable).
