Job summary

ACCO Engineered Systems in Pleasanton, CA seeks a Field Superintendent to oversee Start-Up, Air Balance, and Warranty operations within the assigned area. You will lead field teams, coordinate with PM/PE, and ensure QA/QC and safety protocols are followed.

Responsibilities

• Provide weekly progress, health, and safety reports.
• Resolve issues and obstacles affecting projects.
• Implement QA/QC protocols and Safety Department protocols.
• Coordinate with equipment vendors and subcontractors.
• Enforce Acco policies and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with union collective bargaining agreements.
• Plan for successful project installation; conduct job walks.
• Participate in pre-bid, post-bid, and kickoff meetings.
• Review project documents to determine staffing needs.
• Assign field supervision and labor to projects.
• Evaluate personnel performance and maintain quality standards.
• Monitor cost and labor budgets and seek improvements.
• Foster labor relations with vendors and unions.
• Maintain knowledge of building and mechanical codes.
• Coordinate with PM/PE to resolve issues.
• Mentor Supervisors and Forepersons to elite leadership.
• Assist Director with departmental budgets and fleet management.

In collaboration with other Field Superintendents and under the supervision of the Regional Manager, this position will be primarily responsible for the oversight of the operations, strategic planning and personnel management of the Start-Up, Air Balance, and Warranty group within the assigned area.

• Engaging equipment vendors and third-party subcontractors
• Implementation of Acco policies and procedures
• Understand and ensure compliance with applicable union Collective Bargaining Agreements

• Participation in project kick-off, mid-job and wrap-up meetings
• Review project documents to determine the proper staffing requirements

• Continuous evaluation of all personnel to ensure performance is at the highest level
• Monitor and advise on quality control measures to ensure high-quality output at or above industry standards
• Evaluate and advise on means and methods of continuous improvement to increase efficiency and meet project goals
• Review and track project labor budgets
• Fill any project need gaps until job is assigned a field supervisor
• Engage with labor relations representatives to create and foster meaningful, long-term relationships that support company goals including defending and resolving labor disputes
• Knowledge of current building and mechanical code
• Encourage communication between the assigned project supervision and the associated PM/PE. Coordinate and assist with problem solving strategies with the PM and assigned supervision when issues rise beyond the scope or understanding/capability of the project supervision assigned.
