Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Senior Service Operations Manager to oversee data center service operations, focusing on HVAC systems, startups, warranty execution, repair services, and preventive maintenance.

You will coordinate with the Data Center team across the full lifecycle of projects from construction to ongoing operations and maintenance, with strong emphasis on HVAC services and projects.

Job description

• Be responsible for overseeing service operations within the rapidly expanding Data Center market, with accountability for start-up support, warranty execution, repair services, and preventive maintenance activities.
• Work in close partnership with the existing Data Center team to support customers throughout the full lifecycle of data center projects, from initial construction and commissioning through ongoing operations and maintenance, with a specific focus on HVAC systems and services.
• Lead and coordinate key service processes, including collaboration with sales to provide timely service agreement pricing, supporting customer and sales contract pricing for parts and service.
• Direct field service coordination and drive technician recruitment, training, and development.
• Oversee invoicing and collections, while ensuring a high standard of customer satisfaction and operational excellence.

Requirements

• 5+ years experience in HVAC or a related field, technical systems (or equipment or skilled trades).
• 3+ years experience managing and coaching large teams and organizing work schedules.
• Project management skills to oversee and drive successful project execution for startups and customer requests.
• Tech-savvy with expertise in Microsoft applications.
• Salesforce experience considered an asset.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license for a minimum of 12 months, with no major or frequent traffic violations included, but not limited to: DUI, Hit & Run, License Suspension, Reckless/Careless Driving or multiple smaller infractions or preventable collisions in the previous 3 years.
