Job summary

PERI Formwork Systems, Inc. in Dallas is seeking an Area Sales Representative for scaffolding to grow revenue and manage customer relationships across a defined territory.

You will prospect, present consultative solutions, manage the sales cycle from inquiry to close, and coordinate with internal teams to deliver value on projects. This role requires travel up to 50%, strong English communication, and a track record in construction or formwork sales.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education degree or equivalent years of experience.
  • 1-2 years of experience in sales, business development, project management, or construction industry.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office with ability to learn new technology.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication in English.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and team player.
  • Experience in construction/formwork preferred.
  • Ability to read structural drawings preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Actively prospecting to identify potential customer sites for PERI products within a geographical area and actively sell PERI products to all construction sites within a geographical area.
  • Build and maintain relationships with current and potential customers focusing on maintaining strong transactional relationships with decision makers.
  • Actively managing customer rental projects and function as a liaison between PERI and the customer.
  • Actively prospecting and identifying potential PERI customers/projects and establishing and building relationships with new and existing customers.
  • Manage sales lifecycle from initial customer contact to project closeout.
  • Develop and execute personal sales strategy including time and territory planning.
  • Effectively manage pipeline and coverage to ensure target achievement and maintain high customer satisfaction.
  • Maximize in-person customer interactions to understand requirements and provide project support.
  • Use a consultative sales approach to add value throughout the sales cycle while learning about products and services.

Area Sales Representative - Scaffolding

The main purpose of PERI’s Area Sales Representative (ASR) position is to increase revenue volume and achieve strategic sales objectives. The ASR does this by being accountable for revenue generation, customer relationships, and growing customer base within an assigned geographical area. Leveraging PERI’s resources, the ASR individuals compile comprehensive offers and technical solutions for prospective and existing customers in a consultative sales approach. In addition, it is the responsibility of the ASR position to manage all aspects of generating revenue through the sale and rental of PERI’s products, solutions, and services. The ASR team supports the customer throughout the project lifecycle in close collaboration with PERI’s internal team.

What you’ll do in a typical day:
  • Actively and continuously prospecting to identify potential customer sites for PERI products within a geographical area and actively sell PERI products to all construction sites within a geographical area.

  • Maximize in-person customer interactions to build and maintain relationship, to gain understanding of requirements and needs, and to provide support with current and future projects.
  • Utilize a consultative sales approach with the objective of adding value throughout the sales cycle while continuously learning and maintaining knowledge of products, services, and their application.
  • Accountable for achieving monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets and work with internal PERI departments from project kick-off to project closeout.
What you’ll need to be successful:
  • Post-secondary education degree or equivalent years of experience.
  • 1-2 years of experience in sales, business development, project management, or construction industry.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office application and computer skills with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to utilizing new technology/software.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communicator in the English language.
