Qualifications

  • Post-secondary degree or equivalent years of experience.
  • 2-3 years of experience in sales, business development, project management, or construction industry.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communicator in English.
  • Capacity to read structural drawings is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Prospect new customers and expand PERI's footprint within assigned territory.
  • Build relationships with current and prospective customers focusing on decision-makers.
  • Manage sales lifecycle from initial contact to project closeout.

Job description

The main purpose of PERI’s Account Manager – Product Sales (AMGRPS) position is to increase revenue volume and achieve strategic sales objectives. The AMGRPS does this by being accountable for revenue generation, customer relationships, and growing customer base within an assigned geographical area. Leveraging PERI’s resources, the AMGRPS individuals compile comprehensive offers and technical solutions for prospective and existing customers in a consultative sales approach. In addition, it is the responsibility of the AMGRPS position to manage all aspects of generating revenue through the sale and rental of PERI’s products, solutions, and services for the Industrial Scaffolding team of PERI. The AMGRPS team supports the customer throughout the project lifecycle in close collaboration with PERI’s internal team.

What you’ll do in a typical day:
  • Actively and continuously prospecting to identify potential customer sites for PERI products within a geographical area and actively sell PERI products to all construction sites within a geographical area.
  • Build and maintain relationships with current and potential customers focusing on maintaining strong transactional relationships with decision makers.
  • Actively managing customer rental projects and function as a liaison between PERI and the customer.
  • Actively prospecting and identifying potential PERI customers/projects and establishing and building relationships with new and existing customers.
  • Manage sales lifecycle (beginning with initial customer contact and ending with project closeout meeting).
  • Responsible for developing and executing personal sales strategy including time and territory planning.
  • Effectively manage pipeline and coverage to ensure target achievement and act as liaison with the customer to maintain and improve a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Maximize in-person customer interactions to build and maintain relationship, to gain understanding of requirements and needs, and to provide support with current and future projects.
  • Utilize a consultative sales approach with the objective of adding value throughout the sales cycle while continuously learning and maintaining knowledge of products, services, and their application.
  • Accountable for achieving monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets and work with internal PERI departments from project kick-off to project closeout.
What you’ll need to be successful:
  • Post-secondary education degree or equivalent years of experience.
  • 2-3 years of experience in sales, business development, project management, or construction industry.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office application and computer skills with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to utilizing new technology/software.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communicator in the English language.
  • People Skills: Effectively and harmoniously interacts with others. These include: Self-awareness, self-confidence, self-management, social awareness, active listening, conflict management, empathy, relationship management, emotional intelligence, positive attitude, strong work ethic, and team player.

  • Creative and analytical thinker who possesses excellent people skills needed to effectively convey information and communicate to various levels of an organization.
  • Construction and/or formwork industry experience is preferred.
  • Capacity to read structural drawings is preferred.
