The Area Sales Representative is responsible for driving sales growth throughout the assigned territory by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, developing relationships with prospective and existing customers, and managing the full sales process from initial prospecting through closing and post-sale support. This is a field-based sales position requiring frequent travel throughout the territory to meet with customers, identify business opportunities, and strengthen customer relationships.

The Area Sales Representative will develop and execute strategies to expand market share, generate new accounts, and increase sales within the assigned territory.

Responsibilities:
- Prospect for New Business: Identify, research, and pursue new customer opportunities through onsite visits, networking, referrals, lead generation, industry events, and other sales activities.
- Manage the Full Sales Cycle: Own the sales process from initial prospecting and needs assessment through quoting, negotiations, closing, and order placement.
- Develop and Grow the Territory: Build and maintain a strong pipeline of opportunities and execute strategies to expand the customer base and increase sales throughout the territory.
- Conduct Customer Visits : Travel frequently throughout the territory to meet with prospective and existing customers, assess their needs, present equipment and solutions, and develop proposals tailored to their business requirements.
- Build Customer Relationships: Establish and maintain strong relationships with customers, serving as a trusted sales resource and primary point of contact throughout the sales process and after the sale.
- Provide Post-Sale Support: Partner with internal teams to ensure a smooth transition from sale to installation and ongoing customer support, while identifying additional sales and account-growth opportunities.
- Maintain Sales Activity and Market Knowledge: Maintain accurate customer and opportunity information in the CRM, provide regular pipeline updates, monitor competitive activity, and stay informed on products, industry trends, and market conditions.

Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field preferred.
- Equivalent relevant sales experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Experience:
- 3+ years of successful outside/field sales experience, preferably selling machinery, equipment, industrial products, commercial products, or other technical solutions.
- Proven track record of new business development, territory growth, and meeting or exceeding sales goals.
- Experience managing the full sales cycle, including prospecting, quoting, negotiation, and closing.
