Hitachi Energy is seeking an experienced and relationship-driven Area Sales Manager, Grid Components to drive growth across the Mid-Atlantic region. In this role, you will serve as a trusted advisor to customers, channel partners, consultants, utilities, and internal sales teams while promoting innovative Grid Components solutions that support a more sustainable, reliable, and resilient energy future. You will combine technical expertise with a strategic sales mindset to identify new opportunities, influence specifications, expand market presence, and develop long-term customer relationships. Working in a collaborative and matrixed environment, you will partner closely with Front-End Sales, Account Managers, Product Management, Engineering, and Marketing teams to deliver customer-focused solutions and achieve business objectives. Through presentations, webinars, technical seminars, Lunch & Learn sessions, and customer engagement activities, you will position Hitachi Energy as the preferred partner for utility, industrial, EPC, and distribution customers. This is an exciting opportunity for a sales professional who enjoys building relationships, solving complex customer challenges, and contributing to the modernization of electrical infrastructure. Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures and guidelines.
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of 5 years of sales, account management, or business development experience within the utility, transmission and distribution, or medium/high-voltage industry. Strong understanding of power systems, electrical distribution, substations, and related equipment. Demonstrated success achieving or exceeding sales targets and business growth objectives. Excellent communication, negotiation, relationship-building, and presentation skills. Ability and willingness to travel approximately 30% to 50% throughout the Mid-Atlantic region.
